Teaching procedures: 教學次序:

-Learn the sequence of 1-10
Don’t be urgent to teach 1-100. Otherwise, some children may lose the motivation to learn as it is too difficult for them to learn. Teach 1-10 first. With real objects in daily life, such as 10 apples and 10 bears, you can teach your child to count from 1 to 10 first. You can also teach the concept of +1. For example, one apple plus one more apple, it will become 2 apples. And 2 apples with one more apple, it will become 3 apples. If your child can do it, let him/her tick the first box of the checklist. Remember to praise him/her.

-Understand tens stay the same in each row/Understand ones repeat from 1-0 in each row
Let your child observe the similarity of each row. Let your child understand tens stay the same in each row. For example in the row of 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 and 29, the digit in tens is 2. And let your child observe digits in ones in each row. They repeat again from 1, 2, 3, 4 , 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 to 0. If your child can do it, let them tick the second box of the checklist. Remember to praise him/her.

Let your child observe the similarity of each column. Let him/her understand ones stay the same in each column. For example, in the column of 1, 11, 21, 31, 41, 51, 61, 71, 8and 91, the digit in ones is 1. If he/she can do it, let him/her tick the third box of the checklist. Remember to praise him/her.

-Count 1-100
After the steps above, your child should have a better understanding of counting and sequencing. He/she can now try to count from 1-100. If he/she can do it, tick the checklist.
